Amanda Thomason
Studio Director

Life is all about finding balance in a crazy world. Amanda believes in constantly evolving and trying to better oneself in all aspects of life. Pilates is wonderful way to do just that- to learn about your body through movement and exercise. Her goal in teaching is to create a fun atmosphere where others can learn functional movement in hopes her students will take it with them and apply it to their everyday lives. Thus, leaving them with more energy, less pain, improved strength and a better overall sense of well-being.
Amanda’s passion for being active first brought her to Pilates in 2011. As an avid runner she sought out a cross training workout that would help her to become a faster runner while toning and increasing flexibility. She quickly became addicted to the benefits of Pilates and now takes joy in bringing the practice into her everyday life.

Amanda began her journey as a Pilates Instructor in June 2015 when she started her teacher training through Balanced Body Education. Since then, she has completed Mat I, II; Reformer
I, II, III; and Apparatus I, II, III modules. She looks forward to completing her full comprehensive teacher training by February 2018 to become a Comprehensively Trained Balanced Body Pilates Instructor. In January 2016, she started teaching at The Perfect Workout, in Incline Village, and attributes this experience in helping to shape her into the teacher she is today. When Amanda is not teaching, you’ll either find her participating in a Pilates or Yoga class, or spending her days with her husband and two wonderful children. Originally from Cape Cod, Massachusetts, Amanda came to Incline Village in August of 2006 and immediately fell in love with Tahoe. She enjoys many summertime activities like, hiking local trails, running loops through town and getting in the water with her family.

Amanda looks forward to sharing her love for all things active and her passion for Pilates with all of you!

Peggy Patterson

Peggy has been teaching Pilates and other fitness in the Lake Tahoe area since she moved her young family here in 2009. She began teaching group fitness and dance classes in 1987 in Sonoma county.  Peggy was introduced to the Pilates Method while studying dance at Santa Rosa Junior College,  as she learned the mat work, she started added the basic principles of the method to all of the dance and fitness classes she taught at that time.  People loved it!  This inspired Peggy to return to college at Sonoma State University to study kinesiology while she began Pilates teacher training with Monica Anderson, Sarah George-Johnson and Jean Sullivan with the Physicalmind Institute.  Peggy has worked with athletes, dancers (children and adults) and weekend warriors as well as those adapting their fitness programs due to injuries. "It's simple, I love fitness and Pilates is a form of fitness that can be adapted to work for any body- it works!"

Andy Hill

His spinning classes are very much geared towards outdoor bike riding and include a
wide variety of awesome music! Andy is the director of For Goodness Sake, a non-denominational spiritual center in Truckee, where anyone can come to explore various spiritual teachings, attend classes and workshops, and also borrow books from their extensive library. For more information visit
